Jinks Creek was first planted by winemaker and viticulturalist Andrew Clarke in 1979 with a small paddock of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with cuttings taken from Guil Depureys vineyard in the Yarra Valley.
He later went on to plant more vines including Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Everything is produced on site and use minimal handling methods. We also receive Shiraz grapes from the Heathcote region.
All red wines are open fermented and stored in small oak. Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris are stainless steel fermented, filtered and bottled and the Chardonnay is barrel fermented.
Jinks Creek also produces farm-house style beers and Gippsland cider.
Our restaurant offers a selection of antipasto and dips platters, wood-fired pizza ,and bruschetta, Thorpdale chips with home-made garlic aoli, salads and cheeses Everything is made on site from Gippsland ingredients.
Our philosophy is to be as close to organic as possible, which includes recycling, composting and gentle farming techniques.
Our cellar door is a fully recycled woolshed built in the 1870's, with a contemporary art gallery featuring established Australian artists including Esther Erlich, Christopher Lees, and Jill Lewis and the best of local Gippsland artists selected by Abi Edwards Gallery.
The farm accommodation includes 2 original cottages which feature artwork from the gallery and quirky vintage finds from around Gippsland.
Jinks Creek Winebar, Gallery & Accommodation is open for wood-fired lunches and wine-tastings on Sundays from 12-5pm, and available on Saturdays for small functions and weddings.
